As a part of Capstone, every project group
made a pitch to sell their ideas as a 2 to 3-minute elevator speech. The two
peer groups which pitches we comment are “If Insurance” and “Improving the
concept of Capstone”.
If Insurance
The project aims to integrate insurances
and pharmacy receipts in a mobile application for clients, as to improve
co-operation with pharmacies, private healthcare and insurance companies.
The pitcher was very enthusiastic, but he did
overuse body language and it gave an effect of nervousness. There wasn’t enough
eye contact with the attendees, but due to the pace of the pitch it wasn’t too
noticeable. The presentation slides were simple and clean, and it did support
the whole pitch nicely and increase interest to the project.
Improving the concept of Capstone
The goal of the project is to improve the
Capstone innovation projects concepts, such as increasing stakeholder
commitment, balancing workloads and attracting more diverse companies.
The pitch was held by two pitchers, whom
spoke good, clear English. There was an excellent dialog between the presenters
and the transitions between the slides were smooth. The pitch was very
professional, but the content and “selling-points” seemed a bit bland, maybe due to the topic.
